Her Majesty, The Queen as a Princess - 
A Princess of Destiny

This work is one that I truly enjoyed doing, but that also required a painstaking level of detail in order to capture the kind of disposition that I was hoping for. Based off photos of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, during her earlier years as a princess, I sought to show the sense of openness, anticipation, grace, and elegance, that Her Majesty always carries, especially in her youth. Additionally, I sought to have the features formed by the paint rather than simply represented by it, this is shown in the strokes that formed her hair and crown, and the vivid white that represented her fair and beautiful complexion. Her Majesty is one of my favorite subjects to paint, as she is not only an inspiration, but a timeless figure that we can all admire.
